Attention to Detail

When you want to take your skills to the next level, you cannot find yourself getting comfortable. As a worship leaders or production technicians, we all need to engage in our craft to learn and grow every day. Both in our skills and understanding of the Gospel, we cannot allow ourselves to become dull. We need the life giving power of the Gospel in our lives everyday. The Word of God is a transformative tool that sharpens us and tunes our hearts towards God.

Just because you are great at something doesn’t mean you can just sit back and ride the wave of your “skill”. Master your talents and pursue excellence. Worship the Lord with your God given abilities [Romans 12]. Get every little detail right- even if no one else notices. Honor the Lord in excellence that does not seek reward.

There is a huge difference between pursuing perfection and a lifestyle of excellence. We are human, we cannot be perfect- only Jesus! We can strive every day to live in the calling that God has placed on our life.

  1. Seek to understand how your gifting can contribute to your private and corporate worship in the content of church gatherings

  2. Find people that will push you in your skills

  3. Pray that God would allow you to serve well as you "wash the feet" of people with your gifts and talents

  4. Never settle, seek to give everything that you have to offer in worship to our Savior

Don’t waste your time today- love God, love people, and grow!
